Germany: ‘Lied für Turin’ Planned for Eurovision 2022

Germany is returning to a national final in 2022, with the public to once again have a say in the German Eurovision entry. The selection will take place in March 2022.

The submissions period for ‘Lied für Turin’ is open. Any established artists are invited to apply. The submitted entries must not be released at this time, or before September 1st. The songs can be in any genre or language, and artists do not need German citizenship to apply. Artists and songwriters can send more than one song. The submissions window will close on November 30th.

The national final will feature 5 songs. A jury consisting of five musical experts will select the competing entries, alongside the German Head of Delegation. Public votes from radio, online and viewing public will decide the winner of the selection.

Germany used internal selections for both 2020 and 2021. Jendrik represented Germany with ‘I Don’t Feel Hate’ which finished 25th in the final. Watch the performance below:
